1822 Park Avenue Apartments When Aeon took ownership of 1822 Park Avenue Apartments, the 18-unit building suffered from neglect and over-occupancy. The dilapidated building created intolerable living conditions for the 100 adults and children that lived there as well as difficulties for the surrounding neighborhood.
Aeon corrected more than 400 code violations and substantially rehabilitated the building into 18 one-bedroom apartments on the upper three floors and office space on the ground floor.
Residents of 1822 Park are single adults who are able to live in independent apartments with support and assistance. The residents have mental health challenges due to issues including developmental delays, brain injury, depression, and a variety of other mental health issues.
Residents benefit from professional guidance provided by Oak Grove Care Center. Daily assistance includes community building activities, vocational guidance, nutritional planning and meal services, physical exercise opportunities, and overall mental health and wellness support.
The ground floor includes amenities such as a community room with a kitchen, an exercise room, wellness center, and office space for Oak Grove and property management staff.
