Aeon donors take trolley tour 8/4/2008 9:32 AMNearly 50 friends and supporters of Aeon gathered at the end of July for a unique trolley tour of several Aeon properties.
Alan Arthur, president of Aeon, hosted the tour and spoke about Aeon's impact on the Twin Cities' community.
The trolley stopped at the Continental Hotel, where one of its residents, Gary Kent, gave guests a tour of the beautiful garden he created in the courtyard of the property. Kent, who was once homeless, said that gardening has been a healing and therapeutic activity for him. He thanked the guests for their financial support of Aeon, which has helped him create stability in his life.
Guests on the trolley tour also viewed the newly completed renovations at Archdale, which provides homes for 30 formerly homeless youth.
The trolley tour was sponsored by Collaborative Design Group.
