The Jourdain
The transformation of the intersection at Franklin and Portland Avenues continues to progress with the completion of The Jourdain. As the second phase of the Franklin-Portland Gateway development, The Jourdain features 41 units of high quality housing and 4,000 square feet of commercial space.

Housing options at The Jourdain range from studios to three-bedroom town home styled family units. The site also features underground parking, green space and a play area for children.

The Franklin-Portland Gateway is a partnership between CCHT and Hope Community, a neighborhood-based community building organization. “We are very pleased to be at the halfway point of this important development,” said CCHT President, Alan Arthur. “CCHT and Hope are both passionate about transforming the intersection at Franklin and Portland. It’s satisfying to see the positive changes already under way.”

Upon completion, the Franklin-Portland Gateway will transform all four corners of this once blighted intersection. Through careful design and planning, the site will ultimately add more than 250 high quality, mixed-income housing units to the neighborhood.

A grand opening will take place late spring 2007 coinciding with groundbreaking for the next phase of the development, The Wellstone.
