Crane Ordway
 | | Holmberg Photography | Aeon renovated this historic warehouse in Lowertown St. Paul to create 70 affordable apartments, including 14 units for adults experiencing long-term homelessness.
Originally built in 1904, the Crane building is part of the Lowertown Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was designed by Reed & Stem, the architectural firm that designed Grand Central Station in New York City and the St. Paul Hotel in downtown St. Paul.

 | | Crane Ordway's 70 units are all "loft style" apartment homes |
The building had been vacant for 30 years when Aeon purchased it in 2004.
Aeon's $11.5 million renovation converted the open warehouse space into loft-style apartments and community space. Aeon also preserved the historic facades on Wall & Fifth Streets.
The building has a large community room complete with a kitchen and private entrance. The community is invited to use the room for meetings and events. Please contact the management office at 651-224-4710 to reserve the room.
The Crane Ordway was Aeon's first development in the City of St. Paul.
